New with tags.....arrived without tags!

Hi,

I bid on a baby outfit described as new with tags. I paid £15 (inc postage) and it has arrived without tags. I wouldnt have paid that much if I had known it had no tags, as how do I even know its never been worn? Anyway, have messaged the seller, just saying that the item was not as described as has no tags. What sort of action seems fair? Should I ask for a partial refund (i do want the item) or just wait and see what the seller says?

Thanks :-)

I guess you have to consider how much you would have bid if you knew the item was not BNWT and was used and washed - half the value maybe?

Some sellers will refuse partial refunds and will just ask you to return for a refund. It will depend on the reply you get from your seller i suppose. :)

Thanks Fergoose.

She has replied saying that I can return for a refund, but she wont do a partial refund. What sort of feedback should I leave to reflect this for future buyers?

up to you really - is she paying the return postage costs too or do you have to pay for them

I would prob leave at least a neutral - but if you have to return at your own expense i'm afraid it would be a neg

Just say 'item not as described - not BNWT as per the listing, was clearly used'

I need to keep the item really, just a bit miffed that I paid over the odds in the end!

I feel like leaving a negative, but not sure if thats just because I am in a bad mood!

well it is up to you - feedback is of course your opinion of the transaction so you are entitled to leave what you want. I would be cross for spending that amount if it isn't bnwt. What is her other feedback and stars like.

also make sure you mark the stars low if you want them to count, if you leave them blank it doesn't count as nought, so if you want a star to be bad you have to mark it at 1 or 2 etc.

In your circs I would leave a neg if I wanted to keep it, because she had lied to get more for the item, I'd want to fuck her off.

yes nagoo that is just how I feel!

fergoose thanks again for your advice.

Think I will leave negativ. Her reply wasnt helpful at all, she even said she thought it was "unfair" of me to request a refund of the price of the tag!! Weirdo!

so it wasn't 'unfair' of her to lie and deceive to get more money then! :)

I agree - leave a neg and bad stars too.
