Do any of you add on a small amount for packaging ?

I usually weigh an item and then add on 50p for the packaging, handling time as stipulated we can by Ebay.
do any of you do the same ? When you consider that the Jiffy bags I use can range from 25-35p each and also the sellotape, address labels etc I think that price is fair.
I had an email from a buyer who had won a bid on an item 3rd July. She still hadn't paid by Wednesday 6th July so I sent a polite reminder advising that if I received the cleared payment by Friday evening 8th July I could post the item on Sat 9th July.
I then got a message saying she had posted a postal order(7th July).
I then got a further message saying that she thought the postage was high and that if when the item arrives the postage is less than she paid she is reporting me to Ebay !!

I sent (again polite) an email explaining that I price as a package, if when I go to the post office it can go as a large letter then I usually refund the extra amount. I also explained that the postage was in the listing and that the item does weigh 400g without packaging.
I feel quite put out by her attitude - the odd thing is - she has a negative comment - for charging too much postage !!! She had sold an item and charged £4 postage when the postage was only £1.70

I'd send her a message explaining that the second p in p&p stands for packaging, and that you have added an appropriate amount that is well within the ebay guidelines for the packaging. I'd add to the message that as she has already indicated that she will be unhappy with the transaction you shall return her postal order to her and cancel the transaction.

Thanks sixlostmonkeys, I did mention something similar to that regarding the P&P. I have a feeling that she doesn't really want the item so was thinking about asking her if she wanted to do a mutual cancellation as she took so long to send the postal order.

We have agreed to do a mutual cancellation, she reckons she can stop the postal order before it gets to me - she was supposed to have posted it on Wed ! It sounds like she had never sent it to me. hey ho we live and learn
