hello, could I ask experienced e.bayers if e.bay is a reasonable place to sell some vintage clothes?
I have a few dresses & tops, 1930,s 1950's I would think, really pretty, some crepe type fabric, and some very early nylon/rayon type fabric, typical flowery patterns of the period.
Although they are in fair condition considering their age, I'm under no illusions - they are pretty well worn - a few holes along collars, wear and tear, a lost belt on one dress. My standards prob aren't very high, cos I think they're perfectly wearable,I don't mind shabby.
Would you bother selling them? I've loved wearing them, but no longer do so.Would they fetch more than a few quid? cos I'd rather keep them for the fabric if not.
Thanks

I have some vintage clothes I plan on selling on eBay too. I think I'll list them on a free listings weekend so that I can choose a starting price I'm happy to sell at without losing money if they don't sell. You could wait a while and sell in July. A lot of people going to Vintage at Goodwood will be looking for vintage clothes at that time. And they might even have a free listings weekend that would be suitable.

Yes definatly... get them on now you are sitting on a goldmine!!! Ive been selling lots of vintage clothes lately, as its very big at the moment vintage is in high demand. Just make sure you list all the faults in the description and say they are genuine vintage (a lot of people are saying its vintage inspired then it turns up and its a copy of some vintage dress from primark which youve just paid £26 for!)

Make sure you put vintage i the title also as people just type that in to search.

It's free listings weekend this weekend so do it now to save a few quid. Good luck.
