Hi I purchased an external dvd player for my laptop last weekend. Fantastic delivery time arrived on Monday.
Unfortunately it did not work, no matter what I did or following the advice I was given by the vendor.
Am a bit miffed as I have a Uni Essay due next weekend and I need to access a DVD rom.
The vendor has promised me a refund(so far) once the item has been received.
a) I am a bit peeved that I have had to pay to send it back recorded delivery
b) I am also obviously peeved it didn't work and time is running out
c) He has given me very positive feedback
Do I give negative feedback saying that the item is faulty but that a refund has been given or should it be neutral as the item is faulty, has been returned and a refund issued ?

feedback you leave is up to you to be honest

ask the seller to refund your return postage costs also seeing as it is their error which has caused you to be out of pocket

I don't think a neg is warranted as he's done all he can to help you. A neutral perhaps.

I agree with PinotGrigio - sometimes items are just not right or not compatible, that's different from it being broken or not received.
The seller has offered you a full refund - have they mentioned refunding your postage? Most good sellers will.

I refunded postage today where the buyer had made the mistake and ordered the wrong size. I wanted the item back to sell again, postage was only £1 so I asked them to return, I refunded their costs and then sent the size they originally intended to order.

I don't think a neg is warranted here, actually you don't have to leave any feedback if you don't want to, it's not compulsory and many Ebayers don't bother with feedback whether they are happy or not.

I would say if you feel strongly about it then leave neutral (though the seller seems to have fully complied with distance selling regs and wasn't to know the DVD rom would not work for you) or don't leave any at all.

Hi got my refund really quickly, but the seller didn't take up my suggestion of refunding my postage which was £3.75. I think I may just not leave any feedback. The seller suggested it might be that my USB port is not compatible, totally over my head lol
