Specimen pots...

So I have my donor round next week, until recently I was set on natural insemination, however I think for the first time I'd prefer, and be more comfortable with artificial, I was tempted with partial Insemination but then feel it's more complicated and messy....
Sorry long short basically what do you guys use for pots? I have some specimen pots on order but now wondering if they will be here in time, what can I use if not? I've been so organised for all these years and now it's all feeing real and possible my heads gone to jelly haha 😆 any help much appreciated

What do you mean you're having your donor 'round'? A donor should be arranged through a clinic and you never meet the person themselves.

What is "partial insemination" ?

I haven't read up much about that one as i didn't like the idea of it, but from what I can work out basically the man/donor will do his part but will instead of ejaculating into a pot will do so inside of you, so you don't have to physically do anything with the donor till the last minute and then it's basically perfect aim to the cervix as apposed to via a syringe etc, but don't count me on that as I say I haven't researched that one much

Eh? So PIV sex? Same as "natural" conception? Are you sure a "donor" who suggests this isn't exploiting you?

I was going for natural because I felt it was better odds not down to pressure if anything, however I felt uncomfortable with it so I've chosen now to go down the ai route and he is absolutely fine with that, no pressure from him at all, I am just curious as to what I am to use for his "sample" I have some specimen pots on order but I don't think they're going to be here in time, and I safe to use a normal sterilised pot
With a lid? Can anyone advise?

So this man who is impregnating you, what genetic testing has he had done? Has he been screened for STDs, HIV etc? How many other women has he impregnated? Honestly, the donor banks work the way they do for a reason!

I appreciate the concern I really do, this isn't something I have just jumped into, he has had all checks and is clean, I have known him for many years and trust him, I know his family history to.
I realise when on a computer or phone screen it's hard to understand the concept but many people do it this way without people realising the cost of clinics are to expensive and you'd end up using all the money saved for the child's future, just trying to conceive the child so this is the route I've chosen as it works best for me.
If anyone can actually help in regards to what I might be able to use that would be great! :)

OP it isn't my area of expertise but what sqirrel said I'd think - you can buy small sterile cups/bottles on eBay (like the one-time use baby bottles, I think SteriFeed is the brand?) or look up how to sterilise things at home.

It doesn’t need to be sterile, just clean. Nobody sterilises their DH’s penis before trying to conceive. Any container that you can fit a syringe nozzle into is fine - you can then aspirate the sample into the syringe and inject it as close to your cervix as possible.
