Wowzers I got really behind this... not sure how but I seem busy now than when I was travelling or more recently doing yoga twice a week...

Turtle well done with your EC. FX for your embies. Maybe the drugs they used to sedate you have knocked you out? Hope you are feeling better.

Mandy I used the nasal spray - all fine except actually setting it up - did not do correctly - nurse had to show me how!!! The time I used it I got a BFP.

Great news wish!!!

Bear I hope Sunday comes with good news and all goes well with your planned ET.

So probably a good idea if we introduce ourselves - I will get us started Grin

I am kwick
43, single
I have done 10 treatments in total, starting back in 2015.
Natural IUIs, medicated IUIs, stimulated IVF, natural IVF and most recently FET using double donors.
I got my first BFP in early 2016 after stimulated IVF (where I got 2 eggs and 1 embryo), at the second viability scan the heartbeat had gone and I then had a MMC.
I got my second BFP at the end of 2016 after a medicated IUI, again no heartbeat at second viability scan. This time I had a natural MC.
I then underwent a series of tests to try and understand the MC recurrence- most likely reason the quality of my eggs.
I did all of the above treatments with CRGH.
I then switched to IVI - where the experience has been SO different in a positive way. I also went on a weightloss program to get my BMI down to 35.
I did a FET from a double donor situation in November- BFN. Have 3 frosties left and will have another FET in January, insha'allah Grin

Hi all, just popping up to introduce myself.

I'm London, 37, in a relationship with my lovely missus. We're using donor sperm from Xytex in the US.

Started treatment in summer 2017. So far 2x stimulated IUIs, 1x IVF. All BFN. We've got one embryo on ice, hoping to do the transfer in early 2018.

If you were following my saga earlier this week, we've decided against a December transfer as too much hassle to switch clinics (our clinic is closed on the key dates). I was clearly having a brainstorm even thinking it was a sensible way to carry on. Jan is out as we are away, so going for February.

If that doesn't work, then we're eligible for NHS funding for one fresh and two frozen rounds, so we'll take our two remaining vials of sperm across to our local (brilliant) hospital. Referral already in progress, just waiting for initial appointments. Obviously will withdraw from NHS route if Feb FET works!

Bear - all it takes is one, but sounds like the second one may surprise you! Fingers crossed

Wish - so glad the 9 week scan went well

Turtle - glad EC went well

Hi everyone! I'm not expert like some of the lovely women on here, but always happy to try to answer questions x

Hi all

I'm 33 Singleton, 22weeks and 5days pregnant with my lovely baby girl who is due early April.
I had an amh of 9 and was recommended to have medicated iui. I was amazing lucky to get pregnant on my second attempt. I looked into iui in September 2015 and waiting and researched and saved and had my first iui may 2017 so never too early to look into these things

Good luck everyoneXmas Smile xx

Hi

I'm wonky. I'm 34 (for another week), single and am 14+2 weeks pregnant with my little bug. I have been massively lucky. My AMH was only 5.9 so was told I have a low ovarian reserve and so I decided to go straight for IVF. I only produced 5 eggs, despite being on maximum doses of drugs, and of those only 2 fertilised. They were both put back and 1 of them made it! Still feeling a bit stunned by it all to be honest but hugely thankful.

I am also definitely not an expert in IUI/IVF but may be able to answer more general medical questions as I have a medical background.

Good luck to everyone. X

Hi all,
I'm mandy and am about to start a DE IVF cycle in Greece in the new year. I'm 39 at the moment but 40 is fast approaching. I have had 3 goes at IVF...1st - got 2 eggs both fertilised, one normally and was put back at day three- BFN. Then 2 more cycles cancelled due to a poor response to the meds and only 1 follicle. So that brings me to DE cycle.

Kwick that's great to hear. When it says you have to do the nasal spray 6x a day...does that mean spread equally over 24 hrs? Just curious, also got a call in to dr here to check if oestrogen HRT is ok for me to take so 🤞🏻. I'll be devastated is they say no!

Hi everyone, I'm Turtle, 34, single.

While I had a good AMH result (21) and good looking ovaries at the scans I decided to go straight to IVF to (hopefully) have a better success rate and to give something back by sharing my eggs.

Have just had egg collection from first cycle and have 5 embies developing in the lab, with one to go back Mon - eek!

kwick · 10/12/2017 07:05

@Mandy002 I cannot remember how frequently I had to take the nasal spray but I don't think I had to do it through the night.

@TurtleTree best of luck for your ET tomorrow!!!! What FC are you with?

Hi everyone!

So sorry I have been MIA but had some stuff going on and it looked like the whole process would have to be shelved but we are back on track now. Have been in and out of the last thread and trying to keep up with everyone! Thought the new thread was the perfect time to get back onto updating.

My story, 40 and married to DH. He's fine, my AMH is 1.1. Failed cycle November 2016. Follicles collapsed before collection. Bad experience at clinic. Now have changed clinics and am at the top of the list for donor eggs. Matched early November and accepted. Just waiting for consent forms to start process in January Smile

Congrats to all the BFPs, Thanks to all the BFNs and 🤞 to all of us

Well i'm back from clinic and both embryos survived 👏🏼. Not blast yet but 1 was early blast and 1 was compacting so they suggested it would be worth putting 2 back. Now just got 10 day wait for blood test 🤞🏻 they continue to develop and implant.

Good luck tomorrow turtle

Hi all, I'm Wish, 35, married to my lovely wife. We started with our FC CRGW back in summer 2017. Due to my very high BMI we weren't sure whether we would even be allowed to try, but as I am otherwise healthy, we went ahead with medicated IUI using donor sperm from the FC's own bank. We had a BFP in late August, which sadly resulted in and early miscarriage at 6 weeks. We had a follow up and as there were no medical reasons for the MC, decided to try another medicated IUI on our next cycle. We were unbelievably lucky and had another BFP. This time the little bean is hanging in there and I'm currently 9+5 weeks pregnant. We have had 2 scans at 7 and 9 weeks and all is looking good.
We are crossing out fingers for many more BFPs in here and are eternally grateful for the support of this group!
Smile

Hello,all!

StorkAhoy here! 39, single, living in Buckinghamshire. After years of hoping, planning, and thinking I’d meet Mr Right I decided to start treatment last November, I had 3 ivf treatments with my own eggs and donor sperm (2 with Care Fertility, 1 with CRGW) with 40 eggs being produced but progressing to only 3 x early blasts and 2 x 3day embryos over the course of those IVFs.

I figured I was barking up the wrong tree so decided to move clinics to Serum in Athens, Greece and look at embryo adoption, first FET was in October, bfn. So I decided to go again straight away and do a back to back, so on the 25th November I had two expanding Blasts transferred and got my bfp at 6dp5dfet on the 1st December. I’m still in disbelief!

Xx

Hi all,
Just wanted to check what the clinic means by a mild endometrial preparation and would this be less effective do you think?

Congratulations to all on your positive starts/ends of treatment and I'll keep my fingers crossed for the rest of us 🤞🏻
