Uncertain Pregnancy Test

Hey, very new to this. So we are first time Mum's (we think!) we have carried out 2 Clearblue tests which were positive but a further two tests (not Clearblue) have came back as negative. Very confused and disheartened... has anyone has this before? We are booked into the Dr's next week but just wondered...

Did you take all the tests at the same time? Were the Clearblue tests the digital kind or the line/cross kind?

Unfortunately my experience (and many others') of the blue line-type tests is that they are prone to false positives/evaporation lines. I got what looked very much like a positive on one once when I most certainly wasn't pregnant (coil in situ and no periods due to breastfeeding). OTOH it would be unusual to get two evaps in the same day. Tests do vary in sensitivity so it could be that the other brand isn't sensitive enough to show a positive yet.

Try a First Response if you want a clearer answer?

Just as UndersecretaryofWhimsy has said, the blue line tests are notorious for false positives!

First Response Early Response tests, personally I've found are the best, and clearest. The ones with the flat handles!
