Hello!

After 2 failed OE IVF (1 BFN and 1 miscarriage), we're about to start our first DE IVF cycle in Spain. I'm really excited - and a bit nervous and would love to chat to others in the same position!

I am not in exactly the same position as had transfer on 4 September and am now 7 weeks pg but it was in Spain (Barcelona) and was DE. It is our second successful go, third in total We already have a little girl but we did have an ectopic before that.

DE IVF generally has much higher success rates than OE as I am sure you know, so very best of luck. I hope it goes smoothly for you.

Congratulations, DEMum101! Thanks for the reply, it's really lovely to hear success stories. Fantastic that you have a little girl too. It gives me a tiny bit of hope that maybe it might work for us one day too!

I'm definitely with you on the success rates. We were given about a 5% chance of OE working, and after 2 goes, we definitely didn't want to go through that again!

We're cycling in Alicante, hopefully around the end of November. At least we might get to see a bit of sun! Grin

Oh good luck for November, twirl. Fingers crossed it all goes well and, as you say, you get the bonus of some sunshine too!
