Too soon to start egg donation?

Hi, this is my first posting. I am 34 years old and have tried conceiving for 5 years with no joy. After going to have things checked out I was put on 100mg clomid, but it resulted in a cyst, they made no comments other than the presence of the cyst. The doctor then reviewed and re-ran my hormone tests finding I had an AMH of 3.4 and an FSH of 12. My doctor has gone straight to egg donation as the route for me. In our area we get 3 ivf cycles but there is a 3/4 year waiting list for eggs. During my looking on internet for information, or European ivf centres with shorter waiting lists, I have also come across woman with worse hormone levels than me who have successful normal ivf treatment, should I push my doctor to at least try before proceeding with egg donation?

Oh my god, mine was way worse than yours (AMH of 1) I got pregnant on my first round of own egg IVF. Yes, I think the doctor is moving too quick. If you are ok with donor egg that's fine but you should at least be offered the chance of own egg

That's great! It is good to know it wouldn't be a waste of time

I am by no means an expert on this stuff, but if you consider European invitro centres, I think eggdonationfriends might be useful.
