I have an interview Monday morning for the role of health care assistant in my local hospital, it’s on Microsoft teams with two people on the panel.

I’ve wanted to work in the nhs for quite a while, but some thing or other always got in the way, I decided last month nows the right time to apply and received an invitation for interview, from the first application I applied for wooo!

I’ve tried to do some research, but I have no idea how to prepare myself or what they’ll ask. I’ve always been really rubbish in interviews!

Does anybody have any tips? They’d be greatly appreciated! Thank you x

Research (and really learn!) the core values of the trust you are applying for - there will definitely be questions about this!

Try to talk about your experience and skills then show how you can link it to the job your interviewing for. Give lots and lots of detail.

Confidentiality and Safeguarding are another two important things to think about.

Be passionate about what you say and reinforce the fact that you are focused on working as part of a team to improve the outcomes for all patients and staff.

Also show a commitment to your own professional development within the role!

Good luck!!

Mention treating patients as individuals, person centred care , diversity and equality . No one size fits all when working in healthcare . Treat people how you would want yourself or your mother to be treated .
But be yourself , good hcas are worth their weight in gold .
Good luck , you will smash it x
