Pregnant after splitting?

Has anyone decided to divorce their DH and then found out later that they’re pregnant?

We had a week of possible reconciliation but it didn’t work out. It’s not time to do a test yet but I’m wondering if I could be pregnant.

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you decide to do? DH has made it clear that he wants to go it alone now and I’m worried that he’d be concerned about looking like the bad guy for leaving a pregnant woman. Maybe he would want to reconcile but it would only be from guilt.

We already have a nearly 5 and nearly 7 year old. They’re desperate for a younger sibling. To be honest, if the test is negative I will be disappointed!! I would love another baby.

Interested in peoples thoughts or experiences on this.

Sounds like you’ve rather planned thus and if you are pregnant I expect he’s not going to very happy at all

You’d be best to separate, split any assets and agree child arrangements and move on regardless of whether you are pregnant or not

I didn’t remotely plan it. Both adults are responsible for contraception not just me.

Yes, he knows that we had unprotected sex so presumably he knows there’s a chance that I could be pregnant. I have never been on the pill. We have always used condoms.

My children beg me at least once a week for another sibling so I think they would be delighted. Perhaps not at the reality of a crying baby.

I feel like I could cope really well.

We’ll see. There has been no implantation bleeding so could be nothing.

With both of my other children I conceived in the first month of trying so the notion of being pregnant isn’t unreasonable. I am 5 years older than last time though.
