Collaborative Law divorce arrangements

Has anyone successfully used solicitors who use the collaborative method? My understanding is that it is different from mediation in that all four parties get together to try and arrange a good solution - but they are actual solicitors. They then can’t act for you if the collaborative process fails and it becomes litigious.

Love to hear views. Thanks 🙏🏼
