Buying out of house and implications

Hi, can anyone tell me if my stbx bought me out of the family home would it give him more rights/say over our daughter? Thanks.

Yes I would either buy or rent a 2 bedroom place for myself and daughter. Stbx is demanding 50/50 care even though he is useless and our daughter doesn’t it want that’s so don’t want to do anything which goes in his favour if that makes sense.

If he gets 50/50 care, he doesn't need to pay maintenance. That's what he's angling for. Just refuse and go to court if you need to.

In my experience it depends on where you’re living now, where your daughter is living now, how old she is, and what child arrangements look like now vs what you’d both like going forwards.
