Wonder if anyone can offer advice. Stbxh wanting to sell house and not sure if it would be a 50/50 split or I would get more due to having custody of children. Also would the payments I've made to mortgage since he's left be deducted before the split? Not looking to get as much as I can if that's what it sounds like just want to know what I can expect. Worrying times Confused

It depends on so many factors Op it’s not as simple as it seems.
Equity as a whole.. pensions... length of marriage , how much you both earn, debts etc 50/50 is normally a good starting block but it’s impossible for people to advise you properly here etc.

50/50 split gets more likely the longer the marriage, and if a 50/50 permits both parties to meet their housing needs. But each case is different. If the marriage is shorter, then who brought in what has a bigger role (to some degree).

If you NEED more than 50% to ensure kids are housed, that becomes more likely (or you get less of a non-liquid asset, like pensions, instead).
Also remember that fighting in court costs a lot -- don't spend £20k arguing over a similar amount of money.
