Divorce/separation

Amicable?

Has anyone ever used the divorce service Amicable? I’m torn between wanting to keep things amicable for the sake of the kids and having someone to properly fight my corner (which would mean he would have the same).

Would be interested in hearing any feedback on whether it was worthwhile or not.

How are things between you now? Are you pretty much in agreeance where you want to be? No experience of using the company you have asked for so hope someone can come along and give you some help

I had a free phone call with them and thought they were friendly and helpful, and not at all pushing their services. I couldn't use them as H can't cope with non face to face, but they emailed me a parenting plan template and have offered further support by phone - for free I presume to a point.

I used Amicable. Feel free to DM me if you want specifics. They are helpful and very friendly but they work on the assumption that you and your STBeX are truly "amicable" and you agree everything between yourselves. They don't really mediate as such... Just host calls where you all talk together. If you think there is any hint that your STBeX will be dishonest... Or if you don't know what you want or need... I would say you're better off with a traditional solicitor.
