I don't know what I was expecting but is this it ?

I started the process in July 18 and it's been fairly straight forward, all paperwork was returned as soon as it was received , exh and I have a mostly decent relationship so no arguments or lengthy legal battles have happened .

I did the 6 weeks and 1 day wait after the Nisi and this what has been sent back to me .

Is this it ? Am I free to be me ? Is there anything else I need to do , should I be expecting anymore paperwork?

I paid the costs initially but the judge has ruled that ex should pay but I'm hoping that's between him and the court and I don't need to do anything else with that , is that right ? .. I've paid up so if I get anything back it's a bonus but if not I'm not fussed .

Have I missed anything ?

Yes. As it says - it is hereby certified that the decree...was made final and absolute. In other words, hereby - this is it, here, this thing you are holding - decree was made final and absolute - this piece of paper makes your decree final and absolute. It is, therefore, the decree absolute. Smile

"Marriage dissolved". Yes you're divorced. The marriage has been dissolved in the same way a business can be.

Good luck for the future.
