Hey guys!

I sent off my decree Nisi (applicant) on 30th Nov 2018. I keep chasing and everytime get told it’s a three week delay!
Is anyone going through the same thing? I submitted this divorce back in July! I just want it done now!

Thank you

God knows what is going on at East Mids. I submitted my application in December. I was also told they were running 3 weeks behind and that applications were being sent to Bury St Edmunds to be processed. However I applied 7 weeks ago?!! I don't know how this compares to Nisi, but it sounds very similar Sad I just want my life back!

It's a nightmare! I'm at West Midlands, I chased up my decree nisi today and they have similar delays too.

It’s really tedious now. It’s 6 months now since I first put the app in. I’ve been told to physically go up there. However, I’m down south so it’s not like it’s just up the road!

@sunnyblueskies has your application been logged as received and did you send it by post or email?

@Suretry I did the initial app online. Papers signed and sent back.
I then received the Nisi application by email and sent back on 30th nov. Not that I’ve had any acknowledgement at all. When I call them they also can’t tell me either because of the backlog.

They should at least be able to tell you what date applications they're working on and if your one has been received.

I've learnt that whatever you send in is then subject to about a months delay before it's even processed.

Also if you email the courts you get an automatic response that tells you what their current backlog is. Unfortunately, West Midlands is dated 30th August so no use to me but East Midlands might be up to date.

Thanks suretry. For some reason with the East Midlands you don’t get an email back with the dates they’re working on!

sunnyblueskies- I sent mine off same time as you. Just got court letter today telling me the decree hearing will happen next month.

Have you received yours yet?

How long was your nisi application sitting with the judge.
I did an online application at East Midlands and been sent to the judge on 2nd May. Wanted to know how long it should take to get the nisi certificate.
