I'm starting divorce proceedings. Doing first part DIY, then after decree nisi instructing my solicitor to do financial bit.
She has told me to get my house valued. Hubby has bought a house since we split & needs to get his valued too. He is insisting I pay...I think he is BU!
How do you get your house valued if you are not actually intending to sell?

You don't normally have to pay! Just ask an estate agent to come and value it. We had ours valued after we had an extension done, just to be nosey!

if you value for court or mediation get 3 separate estate agents valuations valuations. Make sure you let the agent know you want the real value, many put the value up a bit to attract sellers.
