Diy divorce Scotland-advice please

Has anyone done this? Just been reading the CAB leaflet and it says you have to be separated a year before u can do yourself otherwise u can go through a solicitor?!! Really that doesn't seem fair!

Yep it's a year then you take it to the sheriff court and pay a fee then it's about a month later you get the divorce certificate in.
