We have exchanged Form E.

He wants the house either sold or me to buy him out. I don't have the income to do that. I can't bear the thought that my boys are going to loose their home. sad

I'm currently going through the same thing NotSure Have you had any legal advice? How old are your boys?

They are 14 and 10yrs.

I have a solicitor. Speaking to her tomorrow about his Forms contents.

Same age as mine, and ditto sad

I can't believe STBX would be so intent on crushing me that he doesn't appear to give a shiny shit that his own children will be collateral damage.

Can you apply for a mesher order?

I don't know. He wants a clean break. Our eldest is autistic. It will distroy him.

I've heard that those who have custody get a higher % of the house...but does that really happen?

My understanding is that priority is given to any minor children, and I would've thought that would be particularly relevant if your son is autistic, but the final outcome will ultimately depend on "need" and "affordability", so a lot hinges on your respective financial circumstances.

Hope the appointment with your solicitor offered some clarity flowers

I had hoped to be able to offset my share of his pension against his share of the equity in the house.... which is about the same - so a 50/50 split. But she said they can't really be compared as a pension isn't "ready" money and he is entitled to cash now.

Feel so utterly let down. I just bare the thought of moving. We are currently in a large 4 bed and woud have to downsize to a small 2 bed. I'd sleep in the lounge on a sofa bed as my eldest can't bare sharing with anyone
