So my husband could be using the firm of lawyers she's attached to?

My friend used her and those lawyers so I don't think it could be that

I don't know her and I can't think how stbxh could know her

Could it be she knows his family or something?

It is ok Blushingm, they can always point you in the direction of another mediator/mediation services.

It could be something very simple, I couldn't use a particular solicitor because years in the past a company my exh co owned was registered with them for basic financial advice.

My first solicitor had to dump me after she realised, at the middle of the conversation, that the man she was providing advice to was my exh. She was absolutely mortified that her secretary had not checked properly before giving him an appointment. So she had to dump the two of us.

She could be a good friend of your MIL, etc.

It is good that they have found out so early in the process, so no damage is done.Smile
