Separated and moving advice

Hello, I separated over a year ago, have 3 children, one in university, 2 teenagers. Currently living in Ireland (no family or friends). My question is: should I move close to family & friends? It's expensive where they live & I'm worried about how I'll cope financially Confused. Rent is really high, I could get housing benefit but would still have to find a fare bit of cash. I will be able to work, haven't for many years so probably won't earn huge amounts. Alternatively I could move a couple hours drive away & have more money for building our new lives. Think I'm bit scared of the unknown, scared of not being able to provide for my children. Any advice Smile

Go with your gut feeling about which is best for you

Where will you be better off in the long term ? I moved from Australia to Birmingham for family support .... Who then promptly moved to Scotland. Wouldn't be so bad if I'd wanted to be here. Don't rely too much in other people, if they are that supportive they will visit and vice versa

That must have been awful for you when they moved away! I would be moving back to my home town, so would always have friends & family there. Think it's a no brainer really. I need my family & friends on a regular basis, not once every couple of months. Thanks for advice Smile

Go with your gut, every time I've ignored mine I've regretted it
