Hi all
I'm new to mumsnet, looking for a bit of friendly advice , support and direction with peoples own life experiences smile.
My partner left a few months when our dd was 5 months, we have been together since our teens (first love), nearly 15 years. There have been problems, but things only got highlighted when I was pregnant.( which was planned) I am now in position of being a single mum and its daunting. He is now putting himself out there for new relationships and it hurts, I feel abandoned, rejected and lonely as my life companion and family life that i envisaged is gone. I am in a better place than I was but its still very raw. Sorting benefits is a mind field , but have written some stuff down and gone on benefits calculator, finances of course is a concern.
In writing this, I hope this will help me move on, as its so difficult as not a lot of people know, as don't want to be the focus of gossip, only nearest and dearest know and that is difficult.
I also hope this post helps people in similar situations, that your not alone (as I do feel that at times), its taken me a while to post this and I've done it smile

Fluffytowels1 hello and welcome. You've made great strides by posting so well done. There is plenty of support here and out there for you. You are doing great and all the things that you need to be doing. His behaviour is common. I know it hurts and try not to read too much into it. His behaviour is about where he is at, it's not a reflection of you.

Take caresmile

Hi divorcealchemist
Thanks for your input smile, could u elaborate more in regards to his behaviour, as I've thought about dating websites myself but don't think I'm ready, so can't even comprehend how he is x
