My husband has a 50/50 shared residency order for his 7 year old son which has been in place for 2 years. He spends a week with us then a week with his mum and holidays are shared. The mother has moved further away from us and has moved doctors. She also refuses to give us details of the new doctor. We know we can find out details via the Local Authority but my question is if the child is taken ill when with us, her doctor is now a long way away, can we register him at our doctors as well? He has ongoing medical needs and dad has not been consulted on any of his care, which is breaking the court order. He also has developmental issues and we would like to have him assessed by a child psychologist, do we need to involve the mother? She is in denial about there being any problems and claims we want to label "her" son. Actually we want to help him deal with his problems. Any advice?
