A member of my extended family have come to me for advice.
A husband and wife are being potentially abused by another member of the family. They both have dementia.
There is video footage of the abuse as we set up cameras and possible financial abuse. They receive care daily from the council and the carers are excellent.
We contacted the council who did not act - can anyone give the best most urgent way of dealing with this.

How horrible. You can contact the police and adult safeguarding team at their social services. You can find info on Elder Abuse UK. Are you talking about physical abuse. If it's really serious you call the police and in some cases the people being abused can be moved somewhere safe. Flowers

Thank you - will go to social services adult safeguarding first and if they do not give it proper urgent consideration then straight away police

Good luck and I hope they take this seriously. They may need to see the video of this abuse..
