I know this is a bit of an unusual day out, but the other week I went to an infant cognition lab with my little girl Emily who is ten months old. I'd had this letter through the post advertising it, so thought I'd give it a whirl. It was really interesting, they are trying to find out how babies see the world. All Emily had to do was sit on my lap for about 5 mins and look at some items on trays, she seemed to quite enjoy it!
I think they're finding it a bit difficult to get volunteers at the moment - so I thought I'd help them by mentioning it on here. Its at located at the univerisity of Essex - if you google 'iclab' together with 'university of essex' it comes right up.
After that me and Em went to the Zoo which is close by, but Colchester town centre is also quite pleasant to stroll around too.
