As dh was off work today we took the children for tea at Pizza Express in Norwich. After the meal we asked if they had any crayons the children could use whilst we waited for pudding and the (lovely) waitress produced two specially made kits.
They were small boxes with space for the child to write their name on the front. Inside was a mini pack of crayons. There was a card with a press out giraffe to build, stickers to colour in and a card with punched holes and a shoelace to thread through to make a flower pattern. Also, a word search game, a number puzzle and a couple of other activities.
This is quite the best set of it's kind for children I have seen anywhere!

Ooh, sounds great! Never seen those before but then again, a while since I've taken the kids. Might be an idea this week! Thanks for the tip!

Hi Cupcakes. Did you go to the one in the Forum or down St Giles? Agree with the comment about Frankie & Bennys - they do great colouring sets/activity packs for the children and they seem to change them on a regular basis. They have one down the Riverside in Norwich.

Sounds great, and definitely than out experience of Pizza Express on Monday. Dh and friend went for take out from there. An hour later we went to meet them as still waiting. Half an hour later still waiting. Gave up, atfter free drinks whilst waiting, and asked for money back - crossed road and ended up with take out fish and chips. Disappointing experience

Hi Fimbo - it was the St Giles one. I have been to the Forum one but not with the children!
