Hi
My 03 Corsa recently leaked oil everywhere and we were tols it was the oil pressure switch, so my husband replaced it last week and all was fine until today where it has been leaking again all over the road. My husband is now working away and I dont know what to do, any advice appreciated.
ps I have looked at the switch and it is covered in oil.
Thank you x

will ask dh, he is a vauxhaul mechanic....

he says that it sounds like a faulty oil pressure switch.(even tho it is new)
he wants to know is it a genuine vauxhaul switch or a cheaper type one? (this will make a difference.)
he has had this happen lots before and says that once replaced they are nearly always 100% however it may just be a faulty one.

thinks you may need to take it to a Vauxhall garage to be repalced again.

seemed to post at the same time!
It is a genuine vauxhall part, bought from a vauxhall garage. Will try and get another one!

dh says that they will charge you for it and say that it is faulty because your dh fitted it and not a qualified Vauxhall mechanic...i know the bastards, dh no longer works for Vauxhall.

I am going to take it to a different vauxhall dealer and try and blag it, do you think they'll check if I say the other dealer fitted it?

It was 3 times on a corsa over a period of 12 months. I managed to get it re-fitted for free. Really kicked up a stink. Not an expensive iirc and the guys there fitted them free first time, charge second time and free the third time. Hopefully it wont go again. Am trying to remember if it was just the oil pressure switch in the end. I will have a look at my garage receipts tomorrow. My corsa is a 51 plate.
