coping with the silence?

Myself and the ex split 3 years back. I see the kids in term time every Monday night, have them every weds/school run Thurs, and up until this week, every fri-sun pm. In the holidays, she has them weekends, I take over in the week (work in a school, also on hols).

Now, she wants them one weekend a month. Fine with me, I guess.. But I've just had them all half term (4/7), and she picked them up around 9 today... And.. Well..

It's. Just. Too. Quiet. It's oppressive. Any plans I had, to catch up on things, I've lost the drive to do suddenly. This always happens. Life without them loses its "go".

Does anyone else find this, or am i odd? If so, how do you cope with it?

Hi
I doubt you are odd, your kids mean a lot to you and they are here one day and gone the next although you are lucky that you will see them again soon.
No idea how to help but perhaps find something really engaging to do to force you to stop thinking about it for a time?
