I get mine through Cycle UK membership. I think British Cycling is actually a bit cheaper for an individual, but I wanted family cover. Check out ETA as well.

Check your household policy, ours provides it.

British Cycling for me - you need silver or ride to get the cover. I used to be with CTC who are now Cycling UK.

If you are riding on the road join immediately!! My partner had been meaning to renew his BC membership for a few weeks and had left his membership card out to remind him. He got knocked off by a car (driver entirely at fault, driver admitted it, independent witnesses verified). My partner broke his pelvis, bike written off and kit ruined. He was off work sick for months, needed physio and counselling. He had to go through a no win no fee lawyer and lost 25% of the 12k he was awarded. If he’d renewed his BC membership he’d have not lost anything. Just don’t risk riding on the road without adequate cover.
