Start using Mumsnet PremiumBest cycling pants?
(4 Posts)I've signed up for a cycling event and need to gear up. Could someone please advise which pants/trousers would be best.
TIA
You don't wear pants with cycle shorts! If it will be warmer weather, I love the DHB halter neck bib shorts, colder bib tights are cosy and comfortable.
I wear pants, always, always have done, JL cotton high legs. No issues at all, no rubbing/chafing and I have never felt the need for chamois cream.
These are my everyday shorts, cheap, cheerful and comfortable, mind you my max daily mileage is 35 miles which would take me three hours. Maybe if you are going further/faster you might want something more expensive.

I'll be doing about 70 miles - I'll try with and without .
Thanks both.
