I was in the audience once; was very odd having the R4 pips played out through speakers before they started.

Yes, I didn't realise it was live. TV's "Question Time" is recorded earlier in the evening.

Dh was tempted to do a bit of heckling, just so he could hear himself on the Saturday repeat . Luckily he resisted the urge.

I love radio 4 on a saturday. I have a daughter who gallops around the garden while singing the Archer's theme tune. I have radio 4 on whenever I am not teaching in my classroom. The Archer naughty kids that get sent to me all love doing the pips.
