hello

owing to the magic that is the interweb, I have started to listening to BBC radio programmes and I noticed BBC 7, kids comedy and drama.

Is there anything you would recommend for kids, 5yrs and 3yrs?

I like the Little Toe programme - it's on when I am doing housework and it makes me smile no end (altogether now....Wiggly Wiggly Wiggly!)

(ps. am 32 and have no kids yet...)

ATM they have stories featuring PG Woodlouse (I like those particularly - think they are read by Su Pollard) and there's one about a vegetarian descendant of Dracula.

Your children are more the age group for Fun Radio (www.funradiolive.com/) (I don't know how to do links but if you copy the link into your browser it should work) It is great fun, songs and stories and jokes - a bit like childrens telly but without the pictures! My 7 and 3 year old are avid listeners.

You can hear the Big Toe and Little Toe programs online for 7 days after they're broadcast. I wake up to Little Toe most mornings . Has some excellent storytelling - Harry Hill reads the Moonins anyone? Little Toe should suit both the Wongboys nicely, but Big Toe would probably bore your youngest I should think. Fun Radio is nice sometimes has Miffy and Thomas to suit your youngest nicely and they'd probably both enjoy the music but the sclub stylee pop really gets on my nerves after a while. I think its on quite a short loop too, it repeats after about an hour if I remember right.
