Kids Week - London theatre

Has anyone utilised kids week in previous years? I understand tickets go on sale 18 June and the period for free kids tickets is whole of August. What I'd like to know is how to find out which dates of the desired show have discounted kids week tickets? Or is it all performances of the listed shows?

I want to be ready with a 1st & 2nd choice at least before tickets are released!

Just found a section called Culture Vultures on MN which seems to be about theatre. Should I re-post this or is there a way to get it moved to correct place?

I had flexible dates and shows. The ones with activities attached go first. You just have to decide what to try first and be ready to sit on your computer for ages. Btw I think the tickets are put earlier than 18 June.

Nerfmother
But how do you know before the "on sale day" which dates have activities etc and which performances have kids week tickets? So I can see which dates we can make.

What date did you think they went on sale please?

It's all put out onto the kidsweek website prior to thexobsake date.

We've been for the last 3 years but have missed out on activities a couple of times.

When the tickets go on sake it's a mad dash at 10am for the popular shows. Last year we went to see Matilda (sold out in 8 mins) & Les Mis with workshop. The year before Rsikwsy Children with backstage tour and Mamma Mia (we tried for Les Mis but couldn't get them as it was the year Alfie Boe was in the show ). The year before that Wicked.

Done it a couple of times. They release tickets in batches , not all shows and/or all performances at the same time. There is a list of participating shows and you have to go into each one which then lists the performances and ticket prices available.

Thank all.I know the show I want & would love a linked activity if possible if there is one. Just need to know dates so I can work out which dates we can make it :-)

I will just keep checking the kids week website then.

You can't find out what dates are available until they go on sale iirc.

Last year I made a list of first & 2nd choice dates and activities and dates and was ready to go at 10am.

That reminds me. My pc is really really flow at the moment. I need to do something about that ready for next month.

Ticketmaster - ok thanks picturesinthefirelight I will look on there. Is it days, hours or minutes before 10am on "sale" day I should be able to see the info on Ticketmaster?!
