Private Peaceful Play Opinions

We have the opportunity to go see the Private Peaceful show in October.

DD is 10 and read quire a few Micheal Morpaego books. Mostly the animal themed ones. She will definitely appreciate the more challenging aspect of the story and I'll encourage her to read it before we see it.

What's your opinion for my DS who is 6.

Appreciate thoughts on whether to just take DD or is this suitable for 6 year old also?

TIA!

I've seen the one-man show where the narrator plays all the parts and I would say it's too much like hard work for a 6 yr old, but I think your 10 yr old will love it. I went with a group of 11 year olds and they were spellbound and quiet while I was sobbing noisily so take tissues.

Thanks alittlebit - think I'll just take DD then.

It does sound like a desperately sad story ... Will remember the tissues!

I agree that it is probably too much for a 6 year old. No matter how good the acting or gripping the narration, it's a big ask of one that little to sit still and concentrate. I took ds1 when he was 10 and that was about as young as I would have wanted to get.

DS1's class of 10-11 year olds went (and I did too!) and I'd definitely say that 10 is about the youngest it's suitable for. It's spell-binding, and the actor was fantastic!
