My favourite city would be Istanbul. It's got amazing culture, is cheap and, the people are amazingly friendly.

Me and my ex managed to get an apartment for the week...and it was only £300. Bargain!

New York City

London, though I've not been to that many.

I thought Sydney was overrated, Bangkok too polluted though fun, Singapore a bit too sterile, though I liked the scruffier parts, and Perth too isolated.

Oh and I didn't see enough of KL to really make a judgement.

I'd love to go to New York and Mexico City, Istanbul is also high up on my list, coinciding with the Grand Prix.

Another vote for Barcelona. Followed by New York.

Rome.

New York is top of the wishlist though.

I love Paris :). Go there regularly for half a day on the way skiing or to SOuth Africa.

Also love Boston but have only been there once. It's dh's favourite city after Glasgow. Went there for his 40th 11 years ago. Would love to go again :)

I love New York. But, strangely I preferred Istanbul which I guess most would disagree with?

I'd love to go to Hong Kong...but it's too expensive. Guess I'll stick to Easyjet flights! Grin

Bristol, my home town, is fab. At least it is now, it was a dump when I was a child.

belgo, was there a lot of support in the streets of Bristol for Josie during Big Brother?

If you go into "My Mumsnet" (at the top of the page) you can set up a public profile and share photos if you want.

Those of us whose names are underlined in "Talk" have set up public profiles, so you can click on our names and get a wee bit more information about us.

I should big up my home tone too. It's stunning, and overlooked.
Durham.
It has a beautiful Cathedral, is set on a bend in the river and is gorgeous.
The views are breathtaking.

I'd third Barcelona, its a fabulous city and the only city I have happily taken a proper week long holiday in rather than a city break. Also love Hong Kong for its crazy familiarity and Chaing Mai just cos its beautiful and so are the people, much nicer than Bangkok imo.

I would love to go back to Istanbul, used to go there for work a lot and it sort of ruined it for me. But haven't been for years, you have got me thinking....

Lucykate - lucky you. Top things to do in Barcelona imo are

Sagrada Familia
Picasso Museum
Open topped bus tours (two routes), and you see most of the famous sites
the Ramblas
Palau Guell
Parc Guell

Top place to eat (though you will need to queue) is Cal Pep.

Be careful though, 3 friends have been mugged in Barcelona.

Top city break venue for me is definitely Istanbul.

Since everyone else has picked more than one-

Florence
Toronto
San Francisco

Am I the only one that hated New York? Blush
