I was with a really abusive guy a few years ago. Hard to explain on here but it was pretty bad. I ended up pregnant with twins who I miscarried after being beat up. After this he was obsessed with getting me pregnant again (I think he thought I'd never leave then however it's what made me see sense). When I was 7 weeks pregnant with my gorgeous wee boy he beat me up for the last time, he did things like put his fingers up my nose and pull back, burst my lip and punched my stomach saying "it's not too late to get rid of it". Vial vial guy. This incident went to court. He was found guilty and got a 18 month community pay back order. I chose to take nothing further to court as I struggled mentally to cope with the stress of even taking one to court. It wasn't easy. I have PTSD as a result of this relationship and have been left in £7000 of debt. My lawyer applied for criminal injuries on my behalf. Not that I even want a lot of money. I literally want to pay off the debt to truly start a fresh. Has any one else been through this process? It's so intense. It was 2 years ago it was first applied for and honestly I don't know how much more info I can give. They have police reports, gp records, psychology reports, women's aid and Eva notes too! How much longer do you guys think it will take and do you think I will even get anything? I can't cope with the intensity of it much longer. It's really setting me back. I guess my question is will it even be worth it. Oh and i live in Scotland if that's relevant.

I would contact the CICA yourself and ask about the status of your application. Two years is a long time if they have all the information.

I was in a road accident back in May. I was driving my friends courtesy car (i was insured to drive) anyway trying cut a long story short here. Me n my two kids ages 14 and 8 where in the car when a taxi driver came flying past us and he hit my wing mirror off car so hard that the wing mirror came in and smashed the drivers window in around me 😭 my face n hands where covered in blood n bits off glass in my skin. Anyways this has been an ongoing situation with are solictors and the taxi driver will not take 100% fault 🙄 even though he was speeding n on my side off the road. Just got confirmation yesterday from my solictor saying 50/50. I have never claimed or done anything like rhis in my life, but the fear he left my chikdren (n myself) but was more concerned for the children as they coukd just see the blood dripping from me. I don’t know what to do. Any help to push me in the righr direction would be off great help. Thank u
