Not a great title but can't think of anything catching this time of the morning. Will figure out how to link to the old thread.

I have followed the previous thread, but not piped up because I'm only familiar with rules for men's prisons Cat A & C (which are completely random, stamps allowed in one, not the other, can vary from cat to cat, location etc with no discernable pattern I can see).

I am in awe of your motivation to decorate and study through all this. It is very clear to me that you rock. Flowers

I'm a victim of a nhs workforce review. They have said I have to start a new job not of my choosing on Monday. The drop is wage is going to be massive. I get 3 months protected pay. I don't want the job offered. It's not acute nursing. It's role I have no interest in. I'm being forced into it. I'm saying no .

Oh no drinks, sorry to hear that. Is it legal that they can do that?

Report
boho2u · 26/04/2018 07:38

Have you spoken with your union?

Report
drinkswineoutofamug · 26/04/2018 08:23

Apparently it is legal. And they have to offer me a post I line with my banding. That matches my skills. Icu . They want me to work radiology. I've had contact with my rep since this shit storm began in February, he's offered me a job!
I don't care anymore, got a doctors appointment and I'm going off sick with work related stress.
It's caused me to get the Lowest marks in my uni work and I've failed my maths exam. Due to worry and lack of concentration.
In other news daughter not been probation, they phoned me yesterday. I explained that she doesn't live here anymore. That I kicked her out. They were surprised I had lasted so long 🙃
She's at risk of a re call to court now. If she goes to prison , I end up with a dog 😬

Sorry to sound thick but can they just move you roles with a pay cut?

Think being off and taking some serious time to recover is probably the best course of action for you now

That's good news about the job! The NHS treats staff appallingly IMO. So stressful when you're all n the end if it

drinkswineoutofamug · 26/04/2018 22:35

They can justify it yournotkiddingme because it's a job role within my banding and wow I get protected pay for 3 months. It's the skills I would loose. It's all bollocks .

Had probation phone me again, trying to track her down. Had to explain again that she doesn't live here anymore. I am not her keeper. I don't know where she's living. Here's her mobile number go seek yourself.

Ok. Has a few appointments lined up next week with benefits agency as he had them stopped and probation. 😊

drinkswineoutofamug · 27/04/2018 19:59

It can take up to 6 weeks for them to reinstate benefits. It's a nightmare. Make sure he goes to the probation and does all the mind numbing hoop jumping

We will be taking him because of his disability etc. We obviously wont be able to stay but will make sure he goes in etc and explain to them about his needs [although they do know it may be a different officer than the one he met when he was inside.]<br /> Luckily he doesnt have any outgoings so I have saved his money that he was entitled to before he went in and it will [should] cover those 6 weeks.
Thanks for the reply Drinks; it is much appreciated. Flowers

So last night I had my first nights full sleep for a week curtesy of zopiclone. I've been put on citilapram to take the edge off. Monday I'm booking a holiday. Not been away for over a year , need some sun. The only good thing about being shafted by your employer is the weight loss.

Silver linings and all that. I've been on citalopram, it was a huge help for me.
Ditto Zopiclone, although it made everything taste metallic for a couple of hours after taking it, even water, which was a bit odd. Wouldn't put me off taking it again if I needed to.

Holiday sounds a very good idea, you deserve it!
