Thanks wolf, great title.
Unescorted, I'm very tempted to not let dd2 do the homework, about from the reading, which is something we have always done and possibly the times tables as she gets tested on those. But I don't want her to get into trouble.
Snuggly, thank you, she has slept on and off today, will be a bumpy few days!

I’m almost finished the Obama book Em and I’m really enjoying it too. And I’m not black either Hmm. It’s pretty well written and she’s had an amazing life. I really like her attitude to life too.

I am surprised there are so many homework rebels on here. We rarely do it and don’t tend to take it very seriously but I assumed that was pretty unusual. I’m looking forward to seeing the astonishingly intricate motte and Bailey castles that the parents kids turn out in future years Wink. I doubt we’ll be doing much of that with DS.

I can’t believe how much work your dd gets Curvy Shock. And I defo won’t support lots of screen-based homework either. It’s bad enough keeping screens in their place as it is. Go on, rebel!

Bed is calling, Night all x

Sea cake is a really good modelling material for Motte & Bailey castles. The kids never make them - he will be in good company.

Curvy we just did reading and times tables - there is the F7 key for spelling.

Any hoo night now xx

Thanks for the thread

Good news on the payment sneaky

I still feel awful today but got to keep the sickness absence down. Must drag myself out of bed for a shower. I can stay in bed tomorrow if need be.

Thanks wolf

That's great sneaky are you going to stock up with it or get yourself some really nice treats? Maybe a bit of both?

Yesterday I spent £9 on shampoo and conditioner. Fed up of cheap stuff. Today should be a nsd.

Morning all, and thanks wolf for sorting the thread.

I got two bits of housekeeping out of the way...

Finally submitted the form to Santander to check for ppi on my Debenhams store card. Which I got in 1998, in store and was in a rush, so will be stunned if 22 year old me said no! But secretly impressed if I did. Anyway, it's the last possible thing I might have it on.

And I opened some post...and found a letter from Barclaycard. See the pic, but Shock. I logged in, and the money was there! So I called and have set up a transfer to my bank account. it's only so much as I had 10k of my debt stashed there at the time

And I was so miserable earlier that the tax credits had gone in and I was still overdrawn. I know everything comes out at the start of the month, but still.

Just £15 on fuel yesterday (wouldn't have got home otherwise, and my last tank lasted 10 days).

Job for tonight is to cancel the sky. I pay £46.50 a month, and we simply do not watch it anymore. So away it goes.
At the weekend I am sorting, possibly binning bt (£70/m), all I want is unlimited broadband, all the extras can go.
And my electricity...just out of contract so must do something, they have put my dd right up.

Woo hoo lonely! For you being here and the refund!

Dds chosen homework this week is to write 1-100 in Roman numerals. Of course she has to do it in the best and most creative way possible. It's currently a massive roll of paper with post its on. Only she started the wrong end and now can't fit all the post its on and is really grumpy. I haven't dealt with it in the best way as I'm pissed off dh didn't advise that she started the other end (he was doing it with her on Sunday). 🙄

WreckTangled · 06/02/2019 07:25

Plus it's used up loads of post its and sellotape it's such a waste 😡

Excellent news about the extra money for people :)

DH is having his tooth out today, it’s been painful since before Christmas. Amazingly the extraction is free since he was referred on to specialist (long twisty roots touching a nerve, the regular dentist was like NOPE)

Just had Tesco delivered, we’ve changed to anytime delivery saver instead of midweek so we can start moving over to two smaller shops a week. Got a lot of convenience food this time, we are spending far too much on takeaways and stuff lately so this is the compromise as it works out cheaper. Both of us in a lot of pain ATM Hmm

Morning, rough night with dd2, poor little thing. Partner has work today, so I'm staying home, but will be going back to work tomorrow and Friday.
Well done to Sneaky and Lonely on the extra money.
Cag hope dh will be alright with that tooth, it sounds painful, great you don't have to pay too.
