Thanks lonely

Fml. Dh just text from work. He walked in and has upon arriving at work discovered the padding from one of my bras in his jeans. In the leg. It worked it’s way out.

I’ve been looking for that for a week.

Hi , all I just filled up the last thread with links .
Thanks Lonely great title!!

Am here excitedly waiting sofa..
love didn't you ask me about retirement date? Sorry forgot to reply.. It was going to be December (on the Big 60th birthday!) but I've heard that there maybe redundancies in our area in Jan/ Feb (I only narrowly missed last time but my job hasn't been given any funding back to enable me to do anything with since then ( developing affordable /social housing for local council) so I am hanging on in the hope they may make me redundant this time! Either way Ill be gone now by 31 March..

Hello, can I join this thread please?

I've recently split up with my husband so am in the process of sorting benefits out, really hoping it will go smoothly as I hate making phone calls!

Christmas is coming up and I have 5 children to buy for. Luckily they never ask for much (books, books, and more books mostly!) but it all adds up.

Not sure when the benefits are going to go in, so trying not to spend. Apart from going to the theatre tonight! (Train fare, food, the tickets were paid for last year.)

Welcome NameChange Smile

Oh dear em. I hear you on all of those rants.

I feel a bit ill. Need to go back to the office and do my paperwork but might see if I can go early. I’ve got a headache, my chest hurts and I think I might have a temperature.

Marking place. Can’t believe how quickly this thread fills Grin

H and I went to the cinema last night. A real treat as we haven’t been out in months and months... £23 for 2 tickets 😩 and then H spent £6.5 on sweets! I got really annoyed at him about that.

Have to buy dog food and something for dinner as we’ve been eating out of the freezer all week but apart from that will not be spending any money today and have no plans to spend over the weekend.

Been watching the old thread so I feel it's time I introduced myself to you lovely ladies. I'm a new mum of one dd. Four months currently. I live with a dp and I'm just trying to cut back where I can considering my pay has now deceased due to maternity and will just get lower.

Bit of an error here - I was using brasso yesterday, just four fingertip sized dots, on a tea towel to polish metal. I put the tea towel through the washing machine and now the whole wash came out smelling of brasso!

Eeeep! I wonder how I get the washing machine to stop smelling of it? I'm doing a boil wash with two calgon tablets just now.

We once put bees wax in the washing machine and the smell never came out. We had to chuck out the washing machine.

mammy yep. Fml. He just styled it out apparently “yep. That’s my wife’s bra padding. No biggie”

I have a friend who works in his department.

Ds and I walked to Waitrose and back 4.5km. In just under an hour. £24. Pizza. Wine. Crisps. Humous. And a sandwich for me. The rest is for mum and dad.

Mmmmm fresh chocolate croissants from the coop. Still warm.

Support group went well, DD2 has no tongue tie they reckon, the pain is literally just because she is so small Blush so it will improve as she gets bigger. It isn't so bad now anyway thankfully. Will have to see what she weighs on Sunday (MW discharge appt).

Booked registry office appt. Have to find ID now Hmm Blush so disorganised...

Thanks Cag I just remembered some chocolate croissants in our cupboard and had one for pudding!

Apart from bananas and yoghurt can anyone suggest good snacks for babies please? I would like them to be reasonably nutritious and filling. Ideally something I can make a lot of that will keep well.

suggly I'm making pancakes for ds from readybrek mixed with milk. It's great for getting the vitamins in. Soft to chew too. It also works with cheese mixed in, or jam on top.

Checking in!

My day off is turning out to be a bit annoying. Our house is totally out of control with stuff everywhere. Nobody picks anything up except me, and I’m sick of it. I’ve spent the past 3 hours clearing things out of the kitchen, living room and bathroom and putting them back in the right rooms. THREE HOURS. And that’s not including cleaning!! Have cracked and unfrugally called in a cleaner to clean behind me as I clear up. £29 for 3 hours cleaning, thanks to a discount code. Am now sitting up in my bedroom with a pile of laundry and a cup of tea whilst enjoying the smell of cleaning products wafting up. The riot act is being read tonight. Does anyone have any tips?!

Other than that today’s expenditure has been £4.30 on coffee with a friend (my turn to pay), £9.99 in Ryman’s for a plastic bin thing to hold all DD1’s crafting crap. £12 on getting my eyebrows done as I’ve not touched them for 3 months and was resembling a yeti. And £4 for 4 tickets to the school Halloween disco tonight. Joy....

Wreck and snuggly hope you’re both feeling a bit better. The image of your twins eating each other’s feet really made me smile, Wreck. How old are they now?

Love the new sofa Laska!

Hello to all the newbies! Happy Friday everyone!

Just saw your post about baby snacks snuggly. My baby loves carrot and cucumber sticks, plus bits of baguette. Other good snacks (if you don’t mind a bit of mess) are houmous, avocado, melon fingers and strawberry slices.
