Tax credits mess up /PIP

I have been claiming PIP since 2014. I let tax credits know at the time and thought they had changed the claim accordingly. Had the PIP reassessed recently and then oddly, tax credits changed and they write to me thanking me for informing them of the change.

I rang them and it seems DWP have informed them of me getting PIP, (PIP isn't taken into account in tax credits so income shouldn't go down, but instead it means they put on a disability element you see). They told me I should have told them in 2014 I was getting it, but then they checked and said Yes I had.

So, anyway they are now looking into whether or not they should have paid this premium since 2014. I am not to contact them till the 11th November so not sure what will happen, and a bit worried about it.

What do you think will they refund the money they should have paid due to the PIP? It even says on the tax credits letters since that I got the PIP enhanced rate so it's a bit odd.

From 2014 to 2016 would be two years and I think it is an extra £1,250 each year they have underpaid us.

There's 2 levels of pip rate, one for standard care and one for enhanced. If you get enhanced you get the severely disabled rate on tax credits rather than it saving you have a disability
