Thanks Creme!

pointless my DS gets constipated regularly. Kiwi fruit helps. So does mixing brown sugar with boiling water and leaving it to cool.

The brown sugar has worked since he was a few months old. Grin extra teeth brushing required afterwards though.

Evening all thanks for the new thread!

Jealous of all the nice nails mine are always bitten!

Congrats to collie :)

Kids had a free softplay session today complete with free coffees for me and DM! Did end up buying lunch at £15 though. Dentist was sick so my appt was cancelled - delayed filling now by a fortnight (yay!)

Put through online shop for tomorrow - £63 but we needed lots of cupboard stuff. I would have done much worse had I physically been in the shop!

Thanks for the new thread. :-)

I had a bit of luck today. I've got a second little job on upwork, and a really fun one that's just an hour of computer consultancy here and there. I feel really quite chuffed about it. Nice to feel needed, and to be properly paid for the effort. :-)

Thanks creme for the new thread. Just placemarking tonight so I don't need to hunt for the thread in the morning.

Loving all the nice nails! Mine are a complete disgrace.

Loving the nice nails mine are very poor wreck biotin is a supplement recommended to me to improve my nails also makes hair grow faster too. I took it religiously before my brothers wedding & had fab nails for it. Bought it in Holland & Barrett there was a half price coupon in their instore magazine. Have bought it since from a different company & it didn't have the same results😂

pointless stewed fruit eg pear rhubarb and apple are great for constipation & the brown sugar mentioned. Kiwis are a great maintenance thing 2 a day with skin on keeps me regular as does eating sweetcorn regularly. Used to struggle with this issue

I lost 2lbs so going to remain egg free

Had an early birthday yesterday as I'm up home for mine, au pair took carrot cake to the extreme.

I'm reading up on ynab, I've got the older programme but I'm going to use that first & if I feel the need to sign up for new one later I'll consider it. Will record every spend on Google spreadsheet in the interim.

Buying lunch out today a once a month treat possibly €4

Checking in. Due a refund of vat today on my new jacket.

Off to a seminar this morning. They are providing pastries. Smile

Thanks for all lovely nail comments. I love them. Again, pricey but they don't chip and stay shiny for at least 3 weeks/ a month.

Lilac that's amazing!

Thanks creme.

Today we're going to a farm play place. It's really expensive at £9.75 each (yes my three year old costs the same as me Hmm) but they dc love it. Will take a picnic but buy a coffee Smile

Payday! Have just done the money shuffle. We had such an overspend last month that we are now just back to where we were at the start of last month savings wise. Really must focus this month if progress is to be made as monthly outgoings have also gone up £200.

Training day today 2 hours away so I will be taking DHs fuel efficient little car. Remind me to claim back the last few weeks mileage then! (Last week was an hour away!)

Carrot cake looks delish Cake

That carrot cake is genius! The mixed veg too GrinCake

NSD as per usual.

Today's main job is finally changing council tax to a 12 month payment. Only problem is - we can't find our bill (we could do it online if we knew our account number) and the Councils telephone menu is bananas. It's SO confusing so DH will have to call them in his lunch break. He has the patience of a saint. Hopefully it will get accepted as it'll reduce our payments by quite a lot.

I really want to go away for Easter. I know its unlikely but I just fancy an adventure and a change of scenery Blush

Just checking in, still unpacking and cleaning here, moving house is hard work, remind me not to do this while pregnant again!
Been an expense few days and still have to pay the carpet cleaner today £70 and extra rent on the 1st (£250) already overdrawn as well, not a good month. DH doesn't get paid until the 7th which seems like a long way away.

Thanks Creme

Don't think they can refuse you collie, you might need to make a payment over the phone though for Feb.

Lila Did you eat it? Icing & veg? Shock.

Ipsos Chap near me runs his own computer consultancy, seems to do really well out of it.

Wreck Patients who are peg fed or given fortisip products always have good hair and nail, they are getting way over the rda for vitamins and minerals. I'm not advising you have a cva though.

Free pastries Envy Envy Envy

Need You know the Thai green curry paste, could you freeze it in little portions? No wasteage then.

I'm going past a Costco today so I'm going to go in and check how much their spices are now.

I'm using my deep fat fryer for the first time tonight. Dh doesn't even know I've bought it. My cooking either comes out brilliant or is a total disaster and has to be binned. Dh has a Pavlovian response to freeze like a bunny in the headlights when I say I haven't tried this before so it might not turn out right.

No I didn't eat the mixed veg ate some of the cake alright, I just couldn't mix the sweet and savoury. The icing was marscapone which in her eyes is cheese and cheese and veg go well together. She's vegetarian and thinks nothing of eating a plate of cold mixed veg. I eat veg as part of my dinner because it's good for you and don't even really like it that way GrinGrin

Last au pair/my estonian friend can't remember which made a sandwich cake - sandwiches covered in cream cheese and decorated with cherry tomatoes and slivers of peppers

What are you cooking in deep fat fryer fluffy? first batch of chips in new oil isn't great, it's nicer when it's been broken in if that's the right terminology maybe seasoned is a better word Smile

Have asked dh to start keeping receipts for me to upload to reep rewards app. I'm making slow progress but lady in front of me didn't take her receipt at shop last night so I didShock it all adds up

babs did they give you drops? Just use in other eye also. DD had conjunctivitis with every tooth, it's very rare for it not to transfer to other eye.

Well done bababoom I'm finding that this happens almost every week now since I got properly serious about my finances.

Report
babsmam · 25/02/2016 08:38

I have been using the drops in both eyes but it's getting worse. I have tenderness along my cheek bones and in front of one ear now. Maybe I expect too much

Report
babsmam · 25/02/2016 08:39

It's making me feel dizzy and such too as my vision is affected/ effected whichever it is.
