Ah ha. Found you.

Clarks have refunded my £60. So that's been thrown at credit card. Balance now stands at £340. Winning.

Spends today - £5 on lunch. Sandwich was awesome.

Thanks for the new thread!

I'm making shepherds pie for dinner, but I think someone's coming to fit a new extractor fan. Hoping they don't turn up!

Coming to join you :) I'm trying to spend nothing this week since I've paid my bus pass and I've got food in for all my lunches - so far, so good

Thanks for new thread, I like a fresh thread, I feel I can start again with keeping up and responding to others!

Spent £8 in lidl this morning buying the things I forgot on the ocado order yesterday Confused. And ordered a plastic table cloth off eBay for £1.55 as I need to paint some stuff for Christmas and newspaper makes my hands all feel on edge so thought that price was worth my sanity!

Thanks for the new thread! £30 in tesco this morning for top up shop and some bits for dh's interview tomorrow. Meal plan has gone completely out of the window this week- I'm not hungry all day then suddenly ravenous in the late evening but fancying nothing we have in. Same things happened towards the end of my last pg but its annoying as I'm just wanting to graze on toast and bits of fruit instead of actual meals. Car buyer never showed last night, dh was at work and text him to tell him it was too late as I was putting dd to bed and no apology, the cheeky arsehole just replied with "how long on MOT?". DH told him and asked why he didnt come when he said he would and he replied "would you take £100?" (We'd agreed on £150). So after waiting for him for hours with no explanation, we're meant to take less money for it? He was supposed to be taking it to be broken for parts as he knows it has big problems, but to be honest I wouldn't sell it him if he offered double now because it sounds like he's wanting to sell it on as a runner and scam someone.

So frustrating annathaAngry

Apparently co-op takes six months to track!! That's so ridiculous could really do with that quidco money.

Shiny new thread :D

Just me and DD today as DM has taken DS out. We aren't leaving so hopefully should be a NSD. Picked up the crayola / playdoh from argos last night so they are safely in the xmas stash, only has to pay 98p with the voucher. Also got a free diet coke from boots (they had run out of cake! dont need it anyway waist wise!) and then in tesco they had the little 35cl size morgans spiced rum down to £4.50 so I bought one for DHs xmas stocking as it's his favourite and he doesnt drink much.

Leek and potato soup this evening to use up a bag of leeks that were in the freezer. Shouldnt need to do a big shop this week as I have quite a few bits left from last weeks Lidl shop and I'd like to empty the freezer to defrost it so there might be some odd combo meals this week - we'll see how I can stretch it :)

annatha when we wanted to sell our car for scrap earlier this year we just rang the local scrap yard, the owner came out and offered us a price and drove off with it - maybe try asking directly? We sold one that way and one to a guy he knew locally who only dealt with renaults - he actually fixed that one up as we saw it not that long after :) maybe worth a punt rather than a private sale?

Signing in!
Even more need to be frugal now... have been signed off for another 2 months due to my chronic illness(es). :( Which apart from anything else means I'll be down to half pay next month, not sure if it will affect November's wages or not. Thankfully our CM has been very flexible and so we haven't got any childcare costs now, but she's still keeping us on her books.

NSD today but I did pick up some bits that I ordered for the bathroom from Next. We have been in this house for 4 years and I am just buying bathroom accessories......

Brill news electro. DC's school is grammar and the uniform is expensive, you can only buy it from one place too. Usually, I do get more than a year out of a piece of uniform but the initial year 7 outlay is large.

Well.
What a disaster of a day spending wise!
Emergency dental appt - £36
Stuff for teeth from boots - £14
Lunch out with DC - £30
And the car is in the garage tomorrow!
:(
The car is 10 years old and it's starting to get a bit temperamental :) I'm thinking in a couple of years I will need a more reliable one.
All we seem to be doing is paying out ATM.
Very depressing.

Thanks for the new thread love!

Probably an exceptionally unfrugal day as just had a builder round to quote for taking out an internal wall and installing French doors. It's something we've been saving for for a while. I'm more reluctant than DH (cos I'm tight and like seeing all the money safely in our account!) but the builder says he can fit us in in December so decisions will have to be made quickly Shock

Also unfrugal as I spent £3.55 in Gregg's buying a bacon slice and cakes for my team. Off on holiday tomorrow...will try to be frugal!

Thanks for the new thread lovetoknit Thanks

Well done to your DD Electrolux and for finding a fund.

Angry at no show cheeky bugger car buyer.

NSD today, tomorrow will be spendy, need a taxi to get German Shepherd to kennel. I don't have the level of bare faced cheek that DH has so can't ask neighbours to dog sit again and we have a trip booked. Kennels won't take a GS they don't know so I have to schlep over there to show them what a soppy gentle giant my Teddy isHmm actually perfectly reasonable of them but I don't want to spend the money

Groceries arrived yesterday, £48, working through the freezer again.
