Salut tout le monde!

I have done a spreadsheet Shock Shock Shock to help keep track this month.

DH did a top up shop (€40, taking us to €15 over budget for the week already Hmm ), then I went shopping with a friend after work (unplanned, but what the hell eh?) and was very good, only spent €12 in Cultura (big stationary/craft/book/computery shop), and we went to Ikea AND I ONLY SPENT €1.49!!!!!!!! I deserve a fucking medal! Had horrible supper in KFC, €4.95.

Lost it back end of April but I am now back. New slate and all that.

Over spent in April, so will use savings and rein in the spending in May. Nothing major, just a school trip for next year that we hadn't been told about and we needed a deposit for and a bit over on diesel/snacks.

Will be changing the pony budget in for the next few months as the competition season is upon us.

DH's mum has been very poorly in hospital for over a week and that has upended our plans totally as we have taken it in turns to visit. So I think a lot of fresh food will be wasted and I can't remember sitting down as a family for a meal in a week at least, meal planning a bit useless at the minute.

Great title laska

welcome back italianviking
Well my April wash up was £126 over budget s and i had credit card bill of £200 so it looks like im going to have a tough month this one, if i want to stay on budget and not use any of my savings..

I paid out £150 for DS rent today (though he should get his housing benefit next week ) and have also sorted out a bike for him which will meana bill of £60 in repairs in the next few days..

So this weekend I will sort out some stuff to ebay (I have lots of Boden etc stuff i can get rid of so that should sell ). I am also running a poll station for the election next week , which will pay me about £150 . Sadly i cant do the count this year though so wont get as much as usual as its overnight and we are not allowed to work poll stations and then count.. Bah! Usually its next day ..

Hi everyone. My April was also not great. I had a couple of bills late going through, so I thought I had all the money to clear my credit card, but am actually shirt.

I am due some extra money to sort out the position from work getting my maternity pay/childcare vouchers wrong. I am due back over £800. I can have this tax free in vouchers, or taxed in cash. This us the option I chose. But it missed the April pay run.

That will cover the credit card shortfall, altgough I wanted that to pay a lump off my tax, so I owed a small enough amount that they'll clear it via my tax code.

Have to watch it in May and June.

I'd like to join if possible please. Have a very spendy couple of months coming up with some work to the house which will be going on a CC so need to stay completely on track so I can repay it in the 0% period. It's necessary work and I have sorted my projected spreadsheet for the rest of the year to cover it at least until then. Just need to keep on top of my weekly budget so I can stick to it! Am over budget this week but I start my budget on a Saturday so tomorrow will be a clean slate!

April was crazy with hospital visiting, sudden death in the family and fees for various activities to pay. May looks like being just as crazy with a dance show, half term and extra child care fees.
I resolve to do my best to stay ontop of it all and in budget. Will do budget over the weekend as should only need to get food

Welcome, banananugget. Seems a sensible way to pay for your work on the house, and that you have planned carefully to pay it back.

babs Sorry to hear about your family member. Been a tough couple of weeks here with MIL being so poorly. Parking fees and eating on the run. She's out today hopefully but I think the issue will likely reoccur.

Today DH has taken £5 out of my bag, he's so tired he needed a coffee to drive, normally would be organised and take a flask but hey ho.

I need to renew a subscription but will probably leave that till next week.

Tonight we will be having fish with veg and home made potato wedges.

Great title laska ; . Lots of April's thread still to catch up ..passthecake..v impressed you have Easter eggs left ; . Well did finish April with £30 left..happy with that as first time I've managed to save since long time. Thought I had gone over budget of £50 p.w food but realised I was in budget as had put £200 for month..not £216.66 for calendar month..yay! Thank you to someone who posted about cash back sites as I finally signed up for one..and got free trial of now tv so looking forward to a month of free movies ;). Just realised I had forgotten to include quarterly d.d for TV licence in ynab so will need to readjust budget for this month and try to reduce somewhere :( hope everyone has a good BH weekend...
