My direct debit is £120 p/m and currently £160 in credit. Moved onto new tariff so there will be a price increase but they want to put my direct debit up to £140 from November even though account is currently in credit? Anyone else had experience of this where provider wants to increase monthly payments despite holding credit on the account?
I would give them a ring & talk it through with them. You may find they can sort it out over the phone fairly easily. If not, you could always threaten to change supplier, but I suspect they will probably be quite helpful.
