tesco value nappies and wipes

I currently use tesco own brand. I could save quite a bit by going down to value but I don't want to do that if they are rubbish nappies. Anyone buy them already?

I only use the value wipes.
But make sure you pick up the baby wipes not the handy wipes, there is a huge difference and the look almost identical!

I use the value nappies in the day but I need to put DD in pampers at night or she does mega wees and soaks the bed.

The Tesco value nappies are fine IME. They have recently changed so the are less plasticky on the outside, so they don't really seem different to any other nappy. The front section of the nappy, where the tabs stick to, is a bit short on the size 4s, so you might find you need to go up a size to get the tabs round if your baby is round rather than long!

I use the Tesco Loves Baby wipes. Don't know what the value ones are like.

I use the value nappies - think the are great for the price, think they come up a bit small and my tesco only do size 4 & 5 in value but I'd recommend them - tbh I use reusable nappies to cut more cost and only use disposable at night

Was just about to suggest reusable wipes - at least for using at home. I have a few packets of flannels from the pound shop - 3 flannels for £1! They work perfectly with just a bit of water, and just chuck them in the wash. I tend to rinse them out as soon as I've used them, then they don't smell while waiting to be washed :)

I don't know how the prices compare but I find Aldi nappies and wipes brilliant.

Have you a local Lidl as their nappies are great ( I wish I'd discovered them with my elder dd's) and iirc £5 ish a pack.

I use Aldi nappies and wipes. When they have the baby offer on you can get a box of 72 (size 5)nappies for £7. I usually buy 4 boxes at a time. I had been using pampers then went to sainsburys own. When my older ds was a baby I used tesco nappies too.

I would say the out of the supermarket own brand nappies and wipes Aldi are the best.

Tesco value nappies are fine, don't like the wipes though, the next range up ones are ok, but do prefer pampers wipes, only ones I'm not allergic to.

Used to use them for both my DS's. Would also recommend Wilko nappies, size 4 plus or junior, 26 nappies for £1.55, they might have gone up slightly but my DS has been out of nappies for 8 months. Also their wipes are good, think they are about 50p a pack.

Aldi are very good - Morrison's are similar and not that more expensive.

I also stock up on Lidl's wipes when I am passing. They are about 80p a pack and are great quality, very thick and so I think you use less.

I second Lidl wipes. There are 80 in a pack and as umaisha says they are very strong - stronger than any branded ones I've tried. The Aloe Vera ones smell lovely & fresh, too (although they do also do fragrance-free, if required)

I use value nappies all the time and they're fine. I didn't realise Wilkinsons did their own and they work out slightly cheaper as 26 in a pack, DD2 is almost out of nappies now though so hopefully will only be buying for nighttime use soon

sorry know this is a late reply in terms of post dates however thought would add my twopency worth!!

my little on is now just turned 3 and been out of nappies since easter but we never ever spent more than 10p per nappy by buying on offer even when in sz5.

anyway we would never have brought value nappies just because would assume poor quality (always brought shops own) anyway when out shopping one day had forgetton any nappies so just brought tesco value ones and guess what they were fine for a couple of hrs and we decided from then on we would buy those to send to nursery as they changed them at 10am, 2pm and 4.30pm plus any poo's so often used 3-4 nappies in a 7.30-5 day and if at home I would only use one that time unless poo'd as didnt wee that much.

Otherwise as a maternity night nanny I recommend aldi own and also since sainsburys changed theirs about 18mths ago I recommend those also (used to be awful).

Actually any shops own brand are very good but sainsburys on 2 for £10 for large packs when on offer work out at 10p or less a nappy dependant on sz (for baby dry version)

also with wipes we only buy tesco value now as rarely used for bottoms and usually just for hands or quick face wipe when out

I use the value wipes and pull ups too. They are fab since they got rid of the plastic outer. Not tried the wipes for a while as they were hideous last time. I will try them though. Youngest nappied bum is just on a year so his hide may be a bit less sensitive now

Value nappies even. Duh.
