Thanks! Will look out for this tomorrow.

BoffinMum Sun 03-Mar-13 22:47:33

Glad it's helpful. I am on telly tomorrow as well - I started a thread in Chat about it.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Thanks boffin. I have just started the first chapter and I'm a little alarmed that you can see into my home. I guess I might have to rethink my Snoopy pyjamas. blush

Bejeena Mon 04-Mar-13 15:01:10

Ooo lovely I have got it for my kindle will be reading with interest and reviewing.

BoffinMum Mon 04-Mar-13 18:37:56

oo bran <prostrates self>

Some mean person gave it a review saying it was a bit basic.

Like, man, it's a comprehensive beginner's guide with a few knobs on. I am sure you will all understand that I had to hoist my bosom at that review. One paltry star indeed <sniff>

Not that I am paranoid or nuffink. grin

On telly I am cleaning the directors boots. Not the most scintillating of tips we filmed, so do tune in to a more interesting episode if you can. wink For example, in a later episode there are tips on blinging porridge, with one of the miniboffs in it (quite a large miniboff, actually). That might be a more exciting and useful tip.

Thank you Boffin! Incredibly well timed as I have just bought an astonishingly expensive house and am wondering how the hell I'm going to 'keep' it...

Will review when read.

BoffinMum Mon 04-Mar-13 18:39:47

Thingymajigs do French temptresses prowl around the home in Snoopy pyjamas? Do they? Hm? Do they? No they don't. Get on the Figleaves website NOW and buy yourself something worthy of your inner goddess. That's an ORDER.

Thingymajigs Mon 04-Mar-13 18:53:37

Yes, ma'am! wink I'm not sure I have an inner goddess but I'll do my best.
I'll review as soon as I've finished.

TheArmadillo Mon 04-Mar-13 18:58:29

Oh fab - was really disappointed to miss it last time.
Am off work sick at the moment so should have plenty of time to read and review.

Super, thanks v much (though its not making you any money giving us all the heads up!) I'm enjoying it and ill do a review for you.

BoffinMum Tue 05-Mar-13 22:39:24

I don't mind giving it away to MN people when possible. MN has given me a lot of support with this book. grin

If you look at the other reviews that one star lady left she gave fifty shades of grey 4 stars.

I think that is all that needs to be said. because it's badly written rubbish

BoffinMum Wed 06-Mar-13 13:24:39

That did not escape my attention.
Perhaps I should have written the book like this.

"BoffinMum stood there, resplendently naked, whilst BoffinDad flicked her with the feather duster, gently at first, and gradually harder and harder, until she begged him to stop. There was a glint in his eye and a curl in his lip as he coldly assessed the situation. Then at his command, she bent over and licked the antique Aubusson rug clean, little by little, as he sat back and observed her, impassively, masterfully."

She'd would have liked that a bit more, I think.
Did you see the china the reviewer liked???? grin

Fluffycloudland77 Wed 06-Mar-13 14:20:06

Well, it's too late to change it now.

Didn't get to the china.....was it twee?

miggy Wed 06-Mar-13 14:27:30

its not free at moment but borrowable, am being complete numpty and never done the borrowing thing before, cant see a button for it anywhere. Could any slightly less dense person please help me smile

Fluffycloudland77 Wed 06-Mar-13 16:11:05

You need to join amazon prime, then it's available for loan.

Primes not free, first months free then £40-50 a year.

miggy Wed 06-Mar-13 16:38:04

thanks but have Prime already, with the amazon habit in this household it does make sense.
Think I might need to do it from my kindle rather than via computer, will try that.

specialsubject Wed 06-Mar-13 19:23:59

not really free, is it? smile

Pootles2010 Thu 07-Mar-13 15:57:44

I got it last time, its fab! Thanks! Do follow your blog but didn't realise you're run a stately home! Any chance of telling us which one? Really interesting!

BoffinMum Sun 10-Mar-13 18:20:21

Specials, it was free on the date stated in the original post wink

Can't tell you which stately or I will out myself, but it was a smallish one near London.
