I am broke! Need to sell things, how, where is best?
(18 Posts)Try typing in For Sale in ... your area on facebook and hopefully some sites will come up. Once you've found one you will probably find others, we have loads in our area.
Sorry, should have read " anyone can apply to sell at any NCT sale"
Check out the neighbouring branches of the NCT if the ones in your immediate area sell out quickly. Anyone apply to sell at any NCY sale, you aren't restricted to just the nearest one to you.
Baby things are not worth that much at the moment, but I think selling to a friend or someone at work is probably the way to get most value, because they can actually see and test it, and there's a bit of trust involved.
Books can be sold on Webuybooks if you are prepared to spend a lot of time testing barcodes on their system. They are picky but I made £80 this month.
CDs and DVDs sell on MusicMagpie. Individually they don't make much but then the odd one will be worth more than you ever think it would be.
how do you do a facebook selling group??
cant find one? dont understand?
If you use s local FB selling page, you will have no fees or postage costs.Baby items sell really well
Do you have any unwanted gold - broken chains, etc? Sell it online. The price of gold is high at the moment. I used Hatton Garden Metals, as recommended on MoneysavingExpert website.
Do you know if there is a jack & Jill market in your town, My friend made over £200.
The things you are selling have to be immaculate though.
Also Netmums for sale in your local area....
To be honest, give ebay a try. You will get more for your stuff on ebay than on carboots for sure. Look at how others present their clothes/books/stuff and aim to do similar
Join a local FB selling group, search for one in your area.
NCT only has three sales per year and every single time I try, they are booked, no spaces for more sellers!
What is a facebook selling group? how do I find that?
Facebook local selling group seems to be the way to go.
Ebay = massive hassle unless it is worth good money.
NCT is probably best. Car boot is ok but you will come back with loads. I gave up and just sent the lot to charity shops in the end.
Gumtree,Facebook, small ads in local paper, card in local shop...
Gumtree and Facebook selling groups.
Maybe look for an NCT nearly new sale near you? Likely to get better prices and more targeted buyers than a car boot
I am desperate for cash. I have a small fear of ebay, as it just seems like such a hassle and not so much profit...
Has anyone successfully sold children's/baby things (mainly clothes, toys, and books and one cheap buggy) somewhere else besides ebay?
I have some perfect condition baby clothes, some designer, how do I sell?
Car boot? Even if I only get a little, its better than nothing.
all advice much appreciated
