I have been warned there may be job cuts where I work.
I work part time, earn about £350-400.
DH is main earner.
If I take redundancy, will our Child Tax Credits increase or decrease?
We don't receive Working Tax Credits.
Confused!

Have you tried putting your expected income change into the benefits calculator on the entitledto.co.uk website. Depending upon your husbands earnings and family circumstances you may get working tax credits.

Phone tax credits and ask. They were really helpful when we were in a similar situation and were happy to give us rough hypothetical figures.

You can npt claim help with childcare costs if only one of you work. They assume that you are at home to look after kids, but this means giving up nursery place and it may not be there when you get a job again...
