Hybrid Publishing

Has anyone accepted a hybrid publishing offer for their submission? I would like to know a little more about the pros and cons of this option if possible.

I've just googled hybrid publishing, and it looks a bit close to vanity publishing to me. I'm not sure what you gain against self publishing, but you look like you lose control.
Someone more knowledgeable than me can probably give more information though.

Yes I’m worried it’s vanity publishing too. I didn’t know if I was being too cynical.

It's not vanity or hybrid or traditional publishing, but crowdfunding publishing.

If enough people like your idea and commit to buying your book it will be published, but the author doesn't have to stump up any fees.

Trad published author here. Are the hybrid outfit asking you for money upfront? If they are, I'd walk away. Proper publishers (rather than vanity presses) make money with you, not from you.

If you're self publishing, then it's absolutely sensible and right to pay for each individual service you need (so editing. proofing, cover design, etc). But with a vanity publisher, you'll get charged a fortune and have no control over the final product. Plus vanity presses can often be a copyright nightmare.
